Calculating the heat loss for a building will
determine the design for the heat system. Heat loss
is measured in BTU's per hour and the heat system
needs to generate and distribute the same amount to
maintain the desired temperature.
This heat loss calculation form (Excel) is an open
architecture. You may enter your values of your
location and determine the heat loss for the
project. The first page consists of a short form
with 15% of efficiency loss added. Page 2 is more
specific and will calculate the heater requirement.
